MIMI PLANGE
Award-winning Ghanaian-American designer, Mimi Plange launched her own lifestyle brand in 2010, after a decade working in the New York fashion industry. She holds a degree inArchitecture from the University of California at Berkeley, and is a graduate of the San FranciscoFashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Over the years, Plange has built a successfulbusiness by collaborating with brands. Her many partnerships include collaborations with famedshoe designer Manolo Blahnik, the iconic furniture brand Roche Bobois, Instagram, and mostrecently LeBron James and Nike Basketball. With a focus on creativity and craftsmanship, MimiPlange produces slowly, recycling textiles and samples, revealing the richness and beauty ofsustainable design. Plange’s breakout collection, “Scarred Perfection,” has been showcased inMuseums across the globe with notable pieces now a part of the permanent collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
